So, you agree, more jobs were saved than would have been lost if Trump hadn't acted?

Your hate for Trump is blinding you.  In the real world, 300+ jobs lost is less than 1700+ jobs lost.

1,100+ U.S. jobs saved from going to Mexico, by Trump.  I guess you would rather have had those jobs leave the U.S. so you could make a political point.

They closed a Sam's I used to go to, but that was when Obama was in charge.

Nothing to do with him, not an obvious location for a Sam's and Costco opened a mega location nearby that was a more obvious fit.

The article also fails to say how many new Wal*Mart/Sams are opening this year.  Slanted article

WalMart and Sams come and go.   Have for years.  Between Amazon pressure, and the increase in minimum wages, retailers have to do SOMETHING to keep profits up.  You either raise prices to the consumer, or you cut from within.  Or some of both.

I realize the math is not actually linear, but to try and put some numbers on it, consider that Walmart employs 1.4 million in the US alone.  A $1 raise for all employees at 40 hours per week would cost the company $2.9 billion.  So either the company loses their profit, or they cut back on the number of employees to control that particular bleed.
