Visa received 3/6/2006

Customs 3/6/2006 - 2 hours, got Employment Authorized Stamp on I-94

Arrive home 3/8/2006

Go into SSA Office Wednesday afternoon 3/8/2006 - 1.5 hour wait

Told 10 to 14 days to receive SSN

Receive SSN (card) Monday morning 3/13/2006

It basically took less than 1.5 business days and 1 day to mail.

I-129F Received in Nebraska 8/18/2005

I-129F Approved 10/6/2005 - I really like the USCIS email!!

K-1 Packet Received 11/29/2005

DS-230 sent 11/29/2005

Request for Interview sent 12/19/2005

Interview Notice received 1/3/2006

Interview is scheduled for 3/6/2006

Changed Medical to 3/1/06

Interview went great and easy - Visa received 3/6/06

Customs - 2+ hours - 3/6/06

Applied for SSN - 3/8/06

Received SSN - 3/13/06 - 1.5 days to process and 1 day to mail - INCREDIBLE!!!

Wedding - 3/18/06

AOS, EAD filed 3/25/06

EAD Approved 6/23/06

Interview 9/25/06

Approved 9/28/06 !!!!!!!!

Now it starts again

I-751 Mailed 8/29/08

I-751 Received 9/2/08

NOA1 Date 9/2/08

Received NOA1 9/9/08

Biometrics taken at InfoPass Appt 10/3/08 - still no ASC Letter

Application has Supervisory Hold, Local Office is investigating why 10/3/08

12/8/08 - still no answer from Local Office and still no biometrics letter

12/16/08 - Card Production Ordered!!!!!

12/20/08 - Card Received !!!!!!

Now we wait until 6/20/2018 to renew the Green Card !!!!!

Waiting is tough, but oh so worth it!!!

I think it had to do with getting the Employment Authorized stamp on the I-94. I know that he is authorized to work on the K-1 visa without DHS Approval, but getting the stamp probably helped get the SSN. I also know that they are not really suppose to do the stamp anymore, but we got lucky. :whistle:

Oh great now EVERYONE will expect that kind of service from SSA. LOL

Probably! That is amazingly quick! It took Claudeth 10 days for the first card and then 4 weeks to get her name changed.

How does that work?!? I don't even understand how they can be so quick for some and so freakin' slow for others! Shouldn't computer systems enable most to get this kind of service rather then it being the exception to the rule?

Sorry for the mini-rant, I am just a tiny bit bitter about how long we have waited

Timeline:

11-15-2005: Sent in I-129F to VSC

11-21-2005: NOA1

11-29-2005: NOA2

12-05-2005: NVC recieved

12-17-2005: Packet 3 received from Dublin

1-11-2006: Sent packet 3 forms, etc. to Dublin

2-03-2006: Interview Date :)APPROVED!!!

2-05-2006: Flying to Logan Airport

2-11-2006: Wedding Date

3-14-2006: Filed AOS and EAD

3-22-2006: NOA1 (AOS and EAD)

4-07-2006: Biometrics

6-07-2006: EAD approved!!

7-24-2006: AOS Interview APPROVED!!!

7-27-2006: Received Welcome to America letter

8-03-2006: Green Card Received :)

I received my SSN very fast too.

I received it in the mail in 3 days. Not to bad eh. :lol:

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

i know that we were very lucky with opur I-129f but now that James is here it would be great if he could get the social security number,we applied for over a month ago.so that he can get a drivers license and get on with the adjusting.

Timeline:
