Big congratulations!!!

Do you mean representative or senator?

My representative only faxed my job offer and related materials to USCIS. Two weeks later and nothing so far. (Almost three weeks after my faxing job offer)

Contacted a senator with their designated form “help with federal agency” via email. On week later and nothing so far. The form did ask whether I contacted other congressman and I said yes. Would they dismiss my email just because of that?

Did I do anything wrong? Please help...

I'm not aware that a senator (member of US Senate) could help in USCIS cases. As far as I could research there are two possible ways to get USCIS cases expedited (either by a job offer or a reason of hardship - you'll need proof for either):

1. Through a Congressman (member of US House of Representatives), which is what I did.

2. Through USCIS Ombudsman.

I did not receive RFE for AOS or EAD, but I think for those who have, the clock starts from 0 which means the approval process starts again as if they just received your case. My advice is to search Google for who is your congressman for your district and use him/her to petition for your case to be expedited.

US senators absolutely can contact USCIS. Usually, contacting the senior US senator is preferred as they have the most resources and existing processes in place.

An RFE pauses the clock to submit a service request, while an RFIE resets it.

Thank you very much for your replies!!

About the RFIE, I get that it would reset the clock to day zero. I sent my response about 70 days ago. So my waiting time should be day 70ish.

But USCIS never confirmed that they received it, so to USCIS, I am still officially day 0. (Online tracker still says "Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed")

So I am suspecting that my EAD is locked by the RFIE. Because USCIS have not officially received my response, the lock is still in effect. My EAD adjudicator is still waiting for the lock to be lifted.

Hi Everyone,

I'm becoming very impatient! I have a job offer and I need to start working from 22nd January. Can you guys help me to get an idea when my EAD should be approved by?

Case is with National Benefit Center (MSC).

08/30/17 -- Filed I-765 and I-485

09/25/17 -- BIO Completed

//

11/15/17 -- Called USCIS, got a referral number, no feedback received

12/05/17 -- Called USCIS, got a referral number, no feedback received

01/08/18 -- Called USCIS, escalated case to Tier 2, then escalated to Tier 2 Supervisor who told me she would call back in a few days, still waiting...

On the USCIS tracker it only shows "Fingerprint Fee was received" since 09/12/17 for I-485; and "Case was received" since 09/07/17 for I-765.

Its been 134 days!

The same show with me since February 2017 says fingerprint fee received that's all we called many times waiting and waiting
