Timeline

Hi, My sister-in-law she passed the USA citizenship two months ago and her status shows ur case is place in line for oath ceremony. She did not get a oath date yet but her mom is sick in India, can she call or any other way to get a oath quicker because we don't know when she will get a oath date,can she go to NY city to the citizenship office and ask if she can get a oath their. thank you

Yes, in cases of emergency, an expedited , private oath ceremony can be requested. Call USICIS or visit your local USICIS office to get more information about it.

 

Your sister in law is not a citizen yet so she can still travel on her green card and visit her mother.  Just make sure you tell USICS about all the travel taken place after the interview and before the oath ceremony.
