CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

We too have been waiting a long time (since August 2, 2006). Just yesterday, I received a phone call from the congressman's office in Los Angeles. He was responding to a letter I sent the previous week in which I detailed the abnormally long processing times of USCIS.

The man from Congressmans' office was so incredibly helpful. He asked a few questions about the particulars of our case, and then he immediately called the USCIS California Service Center. He called back in 5 minutes, after having someone physically find our paperwork, and found that it was on an examiners' desk. He said that he was pretty sure that the paperwork would be finished processing no later than 1 week's time. He promised to followup next week with me to make sure that this happened like he anticipates.

He also said he would watch our paperwork and its progress at the National Visa Center. Also, he said his office had very good relations with the consulate in Peru, and that he would call the Ambassador to Peru directly to make sure our paperwork was processed as quickly as humanly possible.

For the first time in the past 9 months, my wife and I have faith that our paperwork will finally get completed, and that we can be reunited. THANK GOD!!!
