the visa numbers depends on the country of birth, category (F2A in our case). Since its end of the fiscal year, they have used up the visa numbers for India in family category and they have to not wait until new visa numbers are available.

This is weird because your visa should have been available since your case was current.

Hi everyone,

I have been silent reader since I filled for AOS in October 2017. Right now I am after interview that was held on August 23th and I start freaking out.. everything went well, officer said that he doesn’t see anything wrong with our case. He said it is recommended for approval and I should getting something in the mail soon. However since then, no updates... it is just killing me... I saw your posts that there is no more available visas for family based categories, however my PD is March 16 2016.

Thanks for any suggestions and opinions.

Sorry, we can’t help since you are a silent reader and have not shared anything about your case. Just kidding. Don’t freak out. It has just been a week. Mine took a month to be approved.

Mahalo Nui,

From Hawaii.

Starting October (in a few days VB update), I think it would move a little. But based on what you mentioned, I think you will need to wait between 3-6 months.

Hi guys!

I had my interview last Monday. It went pretty well. Approved on the spot. The same day case status changed to “New Card is being produced”.

Do you guys know how long it takes to change to “Card was mailed” or something like that?

Thank you!
