I did not raise any SR for this I-131 because it is still in normal processing time. I guess yours took so long because you filed together with I-765. I hope you get it soon

I was able to secure an appointment at local USCIS office in Jacksonville for Wednesday. I will meet the officer and find out what is causing such a delay on EAD and AP. Anyone have any experience on this type of appointments?

any update friend? did you call USCIS or hear from them? I received a response to my SR saying you should hear shortly, not sure what that means.

Had an infopass appt. today at Jacksonville, FL field office. As usual, no update. The officer raised an internal SR for I-765 and I-131. He acknowledged that my case is behind schedule as USCIS is processing I-765 cases received on Nov 5 2017.

Lets see what happens.

He said that for I-485 timelines are 6.5 Months to 13 Months which even I could check in processing times charts. So he said that I could get I-485 interview in 2 months or I could also have to wait another 7 months.

I think all the people went nuts and applied for Green cards and Naturalization after Trump issued executive order on not allowing people from certain countries into USA.

Also a lot of Latinos (both legal and illegal) went crazy filing for AOS and Naturalization to secure their stay in USA.

I really think NBC is overwhelmed with the amount of application they received last year compared to previous years.

I told the officer that people already in USA on some other visas are at a disadvantage because AOS route is taking a lot longer than Consular processing. People with March 2016 PD (I-130) are already getting their Immigrant Visa and their Green Card status started the date they arrived into the country. So they will naturalize before us even though we have been in USA legally a lot longer than them (In my case since Aug 2010). We have paid more taxes and been keeping our stay legal under the rules of this country.

I am angry and frustrated, that people like you and me are waiting this long and all attention is being given to DACA and other illegals.

This is madness. And now Trump and Republicans want to reduce the legal immigration too. Guess what, its a bad idea. I have seen what kind of acumen Americans have in STEM professions.. They need people from India, China, Germany and other countries else the technology and engineering sector in USA is doomed and will not be able to compete against developing world.

True, agree with you. But what frustrates me is, let's say they are overwhelmed, then why they the hell they are approving November cases and we are waiting? why did they approve some October cases back in December and we're still waiting? the lack of transparency is what making me angry

Have you contacted your senators or congressman? There is a congressional team at USCIS who handle expedite requests from those people.
