Purchasing a plane ticket while waiting for AOS

Hey guys, my wife and I just got married on Dec16th. We will be submitting her AOS/AP/Employment application in Feb. 

 

I just have some questions.

 

We plan to go back to the Philippines by December 2018. Prior to purchasing her plane ticket though.

 

1) Should we purchase the plane ticket with her maiden name? or with my last name?

 

2) When we receive her Advance Parole, will it be under her maiden name or my last name?

 

3) IF her advance parole and plane ticket has my last name, her passport will obviously still have her maiden name, will it cause problems with the airlines/immigration on both sides of the country?

 

4) She just got her passport last year, I'm wondering if we should go to the Philippine Consulate here in California to have her last name changed in it.

1. You would purchase the ticket under the name she will use on her identity/travel document. Generally this is the passport name.
2. AP/EAD/the green card will be issued under the name used on the AOS/AP/EAD forms.
3. If the names differ than her identity document (passport), then she needs to carry proof of the legal name change (i.e. marriage certificate).
4. Not a question. But she can get a new passport issued under the name name (and do Report of Marriage!)

That said, I will reiterate not to purchase tickets until AP is in hand. While Dec. 2018 is likely well within the expected timeframe to get AP (and potentially the green card), the advice still holds.
