I've personally seen 2 cases in the past year on VJ with success, but both had different circumstances. One was issued a case number and planned to be sent to the wrong consulate than what's on the I-129F (i.e. NVC error). The other didn't specify an embassy/consulate on the I-129F and got them to route it to the desired one based on that.

 

But yes, very slim chances.

Ya mean NVC "actually" looks at 62a-b!!??    Now that is next to exciting news!        Normally they look at the address for the beneficiary and send it to that embassy locale

But it was your personal decision to pursue the K-1 that has created the situation.

Sorry to say this but sometimes saying nothing keeps you out if trouble. Don't volunteer any information unless asked for. That will be true for everything she does from here to naturalization.

Well...at the very least they did so when somebody called up enough times and pointed out that using the address was incorrect for their case (as noticed when they tried to get the NVC case number). They were given an email address with specific instructions on what info to include so that they could make the change. But in all cases I saw, they did not override what was written on the I-129F.
