Hi All!

 

I am due to give birth this month, and we have only just begun the K1 process. (Our mistake, each working full time+ school). Anyhow- our files have been delivered to USCIS, and since the baby will be born any time now (The baby will be born in the US to the US citizen) is there anything we can do to speed up the process or are there any special forms we need to fill out?

You can ask/file for an expedite; but pregnancy generally does not fall into that category generally, otherwise everyone would be having babies to speed up the process. So I would not get too hopeful; but again can try.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Pregnancy alone is not a cause for expedite.

You are free to request one by calling USCIS, though.  Just note that even if it were somehow approved, getting the visa and coming to the US within 1 month is just not realistic. Expect a few months still.

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

Yeah we knew it wouldnt be immediate and are prepared for that
