Hi Everyone!

Can somebody help about the maximum processing time to receive the approval of I-129F. USCIS receipt our application July 31,2017 and until now Jan. 10, 2018 application still pending. Can anyone help to enlighten me.

Thank you

I don't think there is a "maximum" processing time. Our K1 was received a few weeks before yours and we're still waiting. Heck, there are some who got NOA1 back in May or earlier and are still waiting for NOA2. There are no guarantees on timing.

If you haven't already, fill out your timeline so you can see some *estimated* NOA2 timeframes. Also, check out the July Filers thread for K1 visas. And most importantly, be patient.

There has been a real slow down in processing, either backlogged or just slow right now. Check here on VJ to see some other filers around your time frame of search for K-1 filer thread for the month and year you submitted the petition to follow other users with similar time lines.

There's no such thing as a maximum for anything. There is a point where the case would be outside normal processing times, at which submitting a service request (or reaching out to your senior senator for an inquiry on your behalf) makes sense. Check the USCIS processing timelines to see if you are out of normal processing timelines.

Most July filers have not been processed yet, so there's nothing unusual in your case at this time. It's just a backlog and more waiting.

I would honestly expect 7 to 8 months for NOA2.  Hopefully a week or so earlier but like stated above, there are people already at day 240 without word.  We are at 218.  You are at day 163.  160 to 180 used to be a good estimate.  Now we have no idea.  There is also a bizarre situation at USCIS where they are holding approved applications for up to 2 months before sending them to NVC.  I believe NVC is still on track with 3 to 4 weeks but that slowdown before they receive the petition is nuts.

So you should probably expect NOA2 sometime between February 16 and eternity!!!!  Hopefully closer to the first date.

Hi Everyone

I am gonna file a petition for a k1 visa for my fiancee who is from the philippines I am currently making 19k or 21k a year and living with my parents. I just recently came back from a one month trip to the philippines to see my fiancee who is just met in person for the first time. I am self employed will my family members be counted in the household income requirments, is it much easier if i lived in apartments by myself before i filed the petition I recently requested my job (FMLA) leave it is gonna be my second year working 11 the hour will it affect the income requirement in any way, will I still qualify as a dependent for the income requirement is there any fees to those who choose to live by themselves I have to know by them

Thanks

No. Who you live with are not to be considered as part of your family size unless they are listed as dependents in you taxes (highly unlikely).  You will just have to meet the requirement for you and your fiancée. Good luck to you. There is no problem living with your family and doing this.
