I received a few notices that my status changed a few days ago on the Spinach USCIS Case Tracker App.  Of course, it still says "My Case has Been Received."  I am only on day 156 and it is too soon for NOA2.  I am wondering if this could mean that the barcode on my file was read by my petition going from one bin into another or by security checks being sent out.  It would make sense for them to be sending background checks out about now since these can take weeks or months to get returned to them.  Or, do you think that the App is just glitchy?  It does not usually do that, but apparently that day there was something happening (or not).

The apps go by the same status as the website (they are really just scraping the data from the website). That website doesn't provide any detailed level of when the case was actually last touched. So either the apps bugged out, or it was an alert about a similar case (not your case), which I know at least one Android app does.

At one point it gave me some info about a similar case (timeline in July 10, name was updated) that I found useful.  Now it just gives me some graph with a percent on it and it says "Egypt"  I don't care about Egypt--I want to know what is going on with everyone.  It would be nice if there was an app that gave useful information.  Maybe I will delete the app and re-install it.  What good is an app that just tells you your own status?  I guess that in the end, I'm trying to find something to be hopeful about seeing ANYONE having success.
