Question for Current K1 Timeline

I received my NOA 1 on Dec 1, 2017 for my K1. I want me fiancee here for a ceremonial wedding in August. She is from Canada.

Based on current K1 processing times, how likely is this to happen (approval of K1, medical, and interview)?

I am afraid witb the current delays in getting to the NOA 2, we may not get the visa before August.

YOu asked this question earlier today and almost everyone told you that it was very unlikely.

Are you hoping to get different answers if you just rephrase the question?

That question was in regards to the religious ceremony and her coming for that. This question is related to the time line solely.

But if youre asking if she will be here for the religious ceremony and if she'll be here - its the same question mate

Currently right now, it takes around 6-7 months to get NOA2. So, it means, you will get your NOA2 around Jun 2018. After that, it will take another 2 months for you to get the case number and for the consulate in Canada to receive your case, so, it means around August or might even be early of September. It is still not included the medical, interview and to have visa on hand. It might take at least another month. In total, it will take around 10 months for the whole process. In conclusion, it is impossible for you to have ceremonial wedding in August.

Sorry but it's highly unlikely. October would be the soonest I imagine for you. Things may pick back up and if they do then possibly but right now no....

What would be my options if we decide to go through  with the religious ceremony in August before K1 approval  (she comes as a visitor and then returns back to Canada)?

I am wondering if CR1 would be a better option now. When I filed, I was told K1 takes 4 to 5 months. Never realized the Timeline would shift so badly.
