really confused !cant see the right way to make decision !:(

if we apply for E2 it takes at least 1 year because we have to submit business plans, find a place to start or buy existing business etc !

I do have savings for EB-5 but i saw many news people lost money because there is many scam firms connected to gov and they lie about investing money!

in china *

You just need to find a reputable agency for EB5, however, you have to realize an important point of it is that you put the money at risk, you are not guaranteed to get it back.  It might be better for you to get a golden visa from one of the EU countries, you’ll still have property or whatever to show for your investment, most of them are cheaper than the US and the steps to residency tend to be easier too.

Interesting article.  Folks paying $30K+ for “handlers”, but claiming to be indigent and only paying $4K for an entire birthing medical service, huh?  Don’t people have any shame anymore?

And people wonder why the American medical system is “broken”.  But at least the OP has other options!

Medical system ain't the problem, perhaps the immigration\visa system is. It is constitutional but contentious!

In theory the people involved would be barred from the US for fraud  but knowing how the world works now they will probably all get handed U visas for assisting in the prosecution

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Yeah,it’s time the US caught up to the modern world and stopped giving citizenship based purely on birth in the US. I know there was a good reason for it originally, but it’s no longer relevant.

stories like the above just stir up anti-foreigner sentiment too.

Yep, nothing illegal in the practice. And contrary to what some have sarcastically posted about telling the IO at the POE that one is having a baby, it does not automatically mean the person gets turned back when they actually say so.

Heres an an interesting article on this as a matter of fact:

Hi, I'm 28 years old and my wife is Chinese. I'm Indian national and now we both are living in China. Me and my wife we are planning to birth our baby in USA, Reason ( want our baby to give better future & studies ). plus we'll also move to US on E2 visa very soon in a couple of years ( planning to start a business there ). Will you guys tell us about legal things in USA to born baby, indeed we do not have insurance etc in the USA but we can arrange funds to pay all feeses etc ! We are just curious in your idea how much $ it'll cost us the all ( delivery, treatment etc )

Do we have to hire any lawyer etc or simple went to any hospital and make an appointment?

Please advise whole processes!

You will probable have to pay up front, my wife just had a baby via c-section...the total bill was almost $15,000. This was the amount billed to the insurance, so I'm guessing if you paid cash it would be significantly cheaper. I don't have any answers for needing lawyer or other citizenship requirements with baby being born in US...good luck with that.

For a regular delivery you are looking at about twenty thousand dollars.  Complications can drive that cost far higher, well over one hundred thousand dollars.  Also getting into the the US for the birth isn't a straight forward process.

Not true, where do you get those numbers? Want me to post our hospital bill for a c-section my wife just had....just under 15k.

We already have B1 Visa in past, we visited Plano, Texas 6 months ago! We already had a visa and now we can travel anytime!

yes we can afford 20K - 150k.    all we need to know about hospital do they required anything special document like NOC etc ?

Or simple we can make an appointment and that's all?

P.S i write Pakistan but autocorrect make it India :(   . Yes, Pakistan does have E2  trade with USA !

You will need an OB doctor that will then schedule you your birth appointment at the hospital you choose. There shouldn't be any hassles, especially if your paying cash.

You can’t go to the US just with the intention of giving birth so you can have an American citizen baby. That’s illegal. The officer at POE will see that you are trying to get in for that purpose when he sees your pregnant wife and you’ll both be turned away and most likely carry some kind of ban with that. Have your baby in your home country then apply for immigration. As long as you apply before your child turns 21 he’ll go with you, as well as your wife. Do it the legal way, like the rest of us are.

Agree with you

can see many replies, let me clear myself. if we born baby in China ( currently we are living here ) . the baby is still as a foreigner he'll not get things like a local baby get, HUKU ( family book )  and many favors as well.

Plus ,We are Muslim and in China here is nothing for Muslims, food and nothing at all. its better to live in christen country!

, If we go to Pakistan it's not that safe for my wife n baby!

We can afford his hospital and everything.  hope we'll get easily E2 or EB5 ( we have savings ) ! but all it takes a time, few years and we don't have a choice right now but born baby in US !

Advise!

Just wanna say that is baloney, I am as white as you can get (blonde hair blue eyes), have spent plenty of time in Pakistan and I have always been perfectly safe

your wife and child would be as well as especially considering you seem to have a ton of money and could afford to live a very very nice lifestyle

I just had a C Section and the bill was closer to 40k for everything related to delivery and hospital stay

are you considering the hospital bill for both mother and baby, lab bill, doctor billS

plus presumably the OP would have at least one bill for a doctor visit prior to the birth and would also need money to pay for travel, living expenses, and doctor visits for the newborn and mother post birth
