Hayes didn’t allow for the other panelists to respond to King’s remarks but later said via Twitter “I was pretty taken aback by Steve King’s comments. I probably should’ve blown through beak and let [Ryan] respond.”

Yeah, I posted it on my ipad.  I was a little troubled at first because I thought you were misquoting me, but since you’ve not been a violator of this to my knowledge, I thought it must be something else.  It probably came across as me accusing you of misquoting me, sorry about that.  I never saw the white part.  

 

And yes, I can see what she means about generations dying off causing a lessening of the “old ways”.  Racism included.  But I do think she worded it poorly.  Alas, that happens sometimes when doing live broadcasts.  Thanks for sharing the longer version of the clip.
