I don't think it's ok to wish for people to die, and shame on anyone thinking that is ok. However the right  inmho is twisting meaning, just like the left did on trying to say Trump  backed the Klan.

In my eyes what she meant was that in order to be real change it's going to take time, and that means the older generations will give way to the new. Her choice of words were very poor, but not lets not do the same thing the MDL does to Trump on a daily basis.

    I also don't think it was wishing for people to die. The question was when will racism be solved, and the answer was not until generations raised to be accepting of racism die off. Everyone does die. I agree it was more about the time it takes to get past something. It could have been phrased better, but I do not see any malicious intent behind it.

I don't see any malicious intent on her part either, but don't try to fabricate additions to what she said or act like she wasn't talking about older generations of white people.  That is exactly what she was saying and she might even be correct.  It seems that every generation is less racist than the previous one.  I've even said that myself on occasion.    

 

However, both identity politics and the victim mentality being propagated throughout our country are responsible for slowing the decline in racism.

Nobody is bickering.  You know exactly what you were implying.  You phrased your response in an attempt to infer that those in this thread questioning what she said are racists, without coming right out and saying it directly.  That is what you were doing and it is about as low as I have seen someone go on here.

since you infer your own meaning to my posts and insist your interpretation is correct, maybe you should block me to avoid further misunderstandings. for example, i infer from this post that you are attempting to bicker with me. if i'd never read it to begin with there's no perceived bickering at all.

  I just noticed it's only there on my PC. When I am on iPad I don't see that  part of it. I accept if you can't see it, since your reaction seemed genuine that you didn't.
