It has been year and counting since our case status is not updated. My husband is interviewed and hasn't been given a call or any information aftermath about his case status. He has been to health check and Every time I try to contact the DJibouti embassy or email them, they don't respond back. So, what is the problem?

Sounds like extended AP.  If you can't get any info from the consulate, you might want to have your Congress person or Senator office involved to get an update.

I have contacted the congressman through my attorney and still no update. The embassy says your case is still in a normal proccessing. The problem isn't only that, when I called the NVC, they said they don't a case like that. By the way, my case was previously transferred from Sudan.

So, at what stage are you?

you say you are contacting the embassy

have you gone thru NVC stage?

you have no timeline / no information about what visa you apply for / you say  husband but i see many refer to a fiancee as husband or wife in some countries

not sure why you try to transfer the case but this has caused your delays

has the US citzen filled out a release order for Senator to look into the case?  senator needs permission per our privacy laws

The case is approved after interviewing my husband, then the embassy didn't call him back.  They told my husband that the case number is going to work but it isn't working since last year.

So you are going thru the additional AP

If approved why ask for it to be transfered?

confusing

I understood what the problem is right now. They made an error about Visa category when creating the case, so they sent my case to the department of state as a non-immigrant visa instead of immigrant visa.

Now that I know what is wrong with the case, would you tell me what step to take next?
