Hi, This site helped me a lot and gave me valuable inputs when I start my working papers. Thank you so much!

I applied my Form I-751 removal of condition last April 29, 2017, they receive my paper work May 1, 2017. My green card expired July 29, 017.

Received Notice of Action May 2, 2017 informing my green card was extended for one year. When should I start the count of 1 year? Is it from the time they receive my paper works or from the time of the expiration date of my green card? If I count from July 29, 2017, my waiting  was almost 6 months this January.  When I check the USCIS website and based on my NOA I received from USCIS I'm still in a normal time processing. Do I need to apply for extension stamp or an I-551 stamp in my your passport while waiting my green card?

It means one year from the expiration date of your green card. Your "new, extended" expiry date is July 29, 2018. You will probably need an I-551 stamp after that, though, since the California office is currently taking about 16-17 months to process I-751s.

Sometime around the end of June or beginning of July this year, you will have to make an Infopass appointment to get the stamp in your passport, but for now, you're good.

Any situation where you need to show your green card, you'll have your expired green card and the NOA (notice of action) letter that shows you have a year's extension.

Is your timeline updated?

Thank you so much for taking time to reply on my concern, I appreciate it so much. On this January 2018 It's going to be my six months. When I check y case status online, it says there they will process my case from 6 to 8 months, so for now I'm still good. I was just worried that I will reach close my expiration date. Is there a certain time requirement to apply the Form I-551 in case I haven't received yet my green card yet? If I apply for stamp on my passport on June or July as you said, is it not too late? since I won't have any document for proof of my residence., Will they just give that stamp on my passport right away when I visit the USCIS office or do I have to fill up a form for I-551?

Thank you guys for your input. it helps when at least someone gave you information. God bless you all!

I haven't checked my case status recently, but when I did I don't remember it saying 6 to 8 months to process, unless I missed it or this is a new and they are at last taking action in the right direction.

I just checked my case status online and did not see any mention of a processing time.   Maybe I am missing something.

Well after seeing this post, I did a double check, after trying to remember password etc and I can confirm it doesn't mention how long to process, unless this is a new thing, however it isn't a new thing on my case status. yet  It's not Christmas any more I guess or I have been a naughty girl. (sounds about right) sigh!
