ya know what happens if ya play a country song backwards???

The guy gets his truck back, his trailor back, his job back, his wife back, his boat back & his dog back !

:P

LOL

I am not much into country. Those patriotic songs make me ill... although I did cry after 9/11 when I saw the big flag going up at one of the car dealers here and town to Bruce Springsteen's Born In The USA...

I also like John Mellencamp Cougar what ever is name is now Rocking In The USA. and of course the old Grand Funk Railroad song redone by Lenny Cravitz American Woman....

7-3-06 GREEN CARD ARRIVES IN MAIL!!!! Done for two years!!!!!!

I am here to help, even if it's just to offer my shoulder to cry or vent on... We are all in this together.!

My answers are based on personal experience, not fact.

We are on this rollercoaster ride together holding on for dear life.

I guess that would be Daryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten?"

I had to post because I loathe this song to the point that hearing even the first few bars will put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day! My boy knows to change the station asap if it comes on! :D

Not to get political, but, his statements in the song are a bit off, and it irks me.

The Alan Jackson song is much better. And yes, I love country.

They're playing that song AGAIN... if I hear it many more times I'll be able to sing it! Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing because it IS beautiful and moving... but I think they definitely overplay it - songs have more emotional impact if you hear them once a week than twice a day! The first time I heard it I cried buckets...

I'm just a singer of simple songs

I'm not a real political man

I didn't say it WAS about 9/11... I know it's different. There's a song by a guy that asks what you were doing then, and it's very moving and they play it a lot.

I guess that would be Daryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten?" I agree it is moving.

I don't know the names of anything - I just listen to it.

Now they're playing American Soldier, another one that comes up at least once a week.

Ironic, as the artists (Dixie Chicks) were involved in a noticeable (posing nude for magazine cover) antiwar protest shortly after its release--which DID cause some calls for its being pulled.

actually you are thinking of the wrong song. American Soldier is by Toby Keith. Traveling Soldier is by the Dixie Chicks. Toby would be so upset you were confusing the two as he has a long standing fued with Natalie of the Dixie Chicks.

And to answer the question. I've listened to country music my entire life. I like it a heck of alot more than some of the other ####### the other stations play lately. My husband listens to the Arch (a station in st. louis that plays "70s, 80s, 90s, whatever we want", my ex listens to KSHE (hard rock) and I listen to country. I have been known to mix it up with some other kinds of music, but given the choice, it's country.

I used to NOT like country... but, it seems that now country has a little more DRIVE to it... so, I like a lot of it...... i DON'T like rap... it makes me nervous... and i usually end up feeling p*ssed off about something... so, I don't listen to it at all...

At work... I listen to bellsouth webtunes... i mix it up a bit... i actually like music of all genres... *well, maybe I should say most genres... I personally cannot call rap music... *... so, depending upon my mood, i may listen to classical, opera... country, rock or blues... even bluegrass... i even like to listen to international music... have some cd's from my ex who was from Iraq... and some cd's from a college friend who is from Indonesia... again, it just depends on my mood...

right now at work... I am listening to the CASTING CROWNS... good cd!

the cd in the player in my explorer is Rascal Flatts... another good cd...

the cd in the player at home is Alana Davis... another good cd... hehe

HAPPY LISTENING EVERYONE!

Umm.. Lynne.... you are right... rap is not music.

On rap, a comic strip character (Mr. Wilkins, father of "Curtis") echoes my opinion: "rap isn't music; it's just profanity with packaging".
