Hi guys for the k1 fiance visa can i use a friend as a sponsor?  My parents don't meet the income requirement.  I have close friends who are not relatives but can be a sponsor. Is this allow? or does it have to be relative?

The I-134 can be completed by any USC or LPR.

COs at some embassies will only accept a co sponsor on a case by case basis (usually close relatives). Venezuela doesn't jump out to me as one of them.

1/2/18: EAD + AP approved (no website update), 1/5/18: EAD + AP mailed, 1/8/18: EAD + AP approval notice hardcopies received, 1/10/18: EAD + AP received

9/5/18: Interview scheduled notice, 10/17/18: Interview

10/24/18: Green card produced notice, 10/25/18: Formal approval, 10/31/18: Green card received

I don't believe Venezuela is known to only accept a relative as a co sponsor.
