Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions about the fiance visa process, and would really appreciate if someone can answer those.

1) I was going through the processing time for each visa center and found that while Texas and California service centers are processing June 2017 applications, the Vermont center is processing October 2017 applications. Since, there is such a big difference I was wondering how do they ascertain which service center will process my application. I am a resident of NJ , and my fiance is in India.

2) Does the NOA1 specify which visa center will be processing the application?

3) Upon entering the US on a fiance visa how long does it take for the person to get a work permit?

Thanks.

1) Most go to California

2) Yes, but it is not a Visa center but the USCIS Service center

3) About 4-5 mos. after you submit the application

or slightly longer...  but this changes all the time and could be very different next month or the month after that or the month after that...

Over the past 10 years it has gone from just a couple months to where it is today or longer

YMMV
