You original post was a month ago, I'm so happy to see that things are looking up!

Health insurance can be a huge headache so I'm glad you don't have to worry about that! You have a very versatile skill and ambition, opening a bakery sounds a great idea!

I wish you guys the best!

Thank you. It made me feel better to vent and I also got a diary to keep track of emotions.

I am very grateful for at least having health insurance and a marketable skill so I do have job opportunities here. Yeah hopefully one day I'll have a bakery, just need to win the lottery first! :)

My first year here was so stressful. In this area where I live  if you dont have a car you dont go anywhere and it took a lot of courage in me to start learning how to drive. Plus being shy and not feeling secure enough about my english but I have to say that people/employers never discriminate me and I always felt welcome anywhere.  During my first year and part of 2nd I felt all was dark here. You will start feeling much better when you start getting your papers and be able to find a job.

I dont know how my hubby did not divorce me because I was a ball of nerves, plus missing my home country, family and friends during the first year it was awful. As soon as I started driving (short distances at first) made me feel more at ease and more confident to get a job. Now I see why this country is the land of opportunity. I feel I can have more opportunities here than I  ever felt in my home country.

You can always contact us the Vjers if you need to vent. That is what we all do here. It's a therapy group. :D

Wow, I am so glad you made such great process!

Yeah it takes time to settle down and all that. While waiting for EAD and AOS is truly gonna test your marriage, it's crazy.

I am very thankful to have all the people on here to seek advice and support, it is awesome. I joined this site last June while waiting for NOA2 and wondering where our NOA2 was and my husband called USCIS to ask and they told us to give it 2-3 more months(bull answer like usual) and I freaked out lol. Got some consolation on here from people and we received the NOA2 in the mail within a week later.
