Hi, can you travel out of the states when you have a pending citizenship application? I am not due to file for citizenship until sept this year but I want to know the time frame of approval and if you can travel out with your 10yrs green card while the application is pending.

Thank you

Yes, you can travel outside the US.  We have traveled outside the US twice in the last 6 months while we have been pending AOS.  This should not be an issue, especially since you have your GC, 10 year!

Yes, you can travel abroad with your passport and green card. I've traveled abroad twice so far and it was completely uneventful. Of course, these were very short trips. You may want to delay your trip if (1) you're close to the physical presence requirement and another trip abroad might raise concerns during the interview; and/or (2) having to cancel the trip on short notice because it conflicts with the interview date would be a real hardship for you.
