I am new to this K-1 visa process  The Philippine islands is going.  I am just wondering with DT45, how the K-1 visa process has been slowed  down or sped up.  I am planning my trip to the Philippines in April or May 2018 and will begin the process of paperwork at that time. As a newbie to this I am just curious and will be doing my own research on the different forums and reading. I was just wanting a quick and easy answer to begin with.

Here's a good tip: There is no "quick and easy" to anything concerning the visa process. Understand this now or you are in for a long, long ride. Everything takes a long time and a lot of patience. Nobody can tell you when - or if- anything will happen at any given time. Read the timelines on this site. That's a start. Good luck!

Well actually I wasn't truthful because I did do the visa process and 2007, but I know things of changed I noticed the fees have gone up etc. I just didn't know with the new president if fiancée visa is had been affected. I know it takes 12 to 15 maybe 16 months sometimes. I was just kind of curious if it was still taking about the same time. As it did 10 years agoWell actually I wasn't truthful because I did do the visa process and 2007, but I know things of changed I noticed the fees have gone up etc. I just didn't know with the new president if fiancée visa is had been affected. K-1 is trending about 10 to 11 months from NOA1 to POE.  I haven't heard of any going over a year unless there were definite challenges with their petition.  The new administration is definitely not immigration friendly but I think there are a variety of reasons for the slowdown.  There is no doubt that DT45 is part of the slowdown.

I doubt if we will hit 15 months for the K-1 but I also doubted that NOA2 would go over 160 days!  We are on day 216.

Thanks.  The one I did in 2007 took about 13 months. She came over, but suffered from culture shock really bad in addition to a lot of in maturity. She started throwing Tampo shortly after arriving. She did leave me with a memorable landline phone bill of $895 USD.She did leave me with a memorable landline phone bill of $895 USD.
