The backstory ... In Wolff's book, Bannon is quoted as saying of Mueller's prosecutors: "They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.'"

Be smart: While Bannon's statement may seem like a baby step, he's as stubborn as Trump when it comes to apologizing and admitting he has made a mistake. He views any concession as a sign of humiliating weakness.

What's next: Look for Don Jr. to accept the statement graciously. But Bannon has further to go with President Trump: Axios has learned that POTUS has said that he wants surrogates who appear for him on TV to "bury Steve."

• Axios' Jonathan Swan reported last night: Trump has been working the phones over the past several days, telling allies they need to choose between him and Bannon.

P.S. "Fake book" ... Trump tweets as he leaves Camp David: "I’ve had to put up with the Fake News from the first day I announced that I would be running for President. Now I have to put up with a Fake Book, written by a totally discredited author."

So it's confirmed then. This book is filled with quotes taken out of context, distortions and outright lies. Just like every other book before it by this "author".

I am sure the quotes are out of context, we are not there to understand the entire conversation.  Lies and Distortions?  The man says he has tapes

If he has tapes then why doesn't he bring them out? Liberals are drooling all over this book but no actual evidence to back anything up in it.

The amount of legal scruitiny that Holt put this book under before publishing was considerable. The conclusions of the author are his own. But the quotes of others are facts to the degree they can be proven or disputed. A few folks have come forward and said that they were misquoted or taken out of context, but even Bannon does not dispute that the conversations took place.

Where are these alleged tapes he has? I know with previous books he wrote where he misquoted people he claimed to have tapes when he didn't. Why do you think this time is any different?

It's kind of funny when Bannon was in the White House many lefties including some here accused him of being a Nazi and all sorts of nasty things. They said he had zero credibility. Now that he has allegedly said some bad things about Trump his credibility has shot through the roof with the left. Interesting how that works.

What is interesting, when Gary Aldrich wrote his book “Unlimited Access”.it was lambasted in a similar manner as this one by the then Clinton White House.
