Good Morning VJ Members :)

Is there anyone (Cuban ) that already got an interview in Bogota , Colombia for Spouse Visa Process? I am trying to follow someone that is in the process to learn from his/her experiences.

I had read from a web site that a friend of mine sent me that the Medical exams required in Bogota are different from the ones we used to get done in Cuba.  This is a very important point for us since you must have the Medical envelope ready before the interview and we will need to know before traveling to Bogota how long it will take to get it done.

https://co.usembassy.gov/es/visas-es/immigrant-visas-es/family-based-immigration-es/immigrant-visa-interview-es/

Please if any of you (VJ members ) already went to through this process or maybe are now in this process please contact me or leave me a comment or follow this topic so I can follow the thread.

Thank you so much. :D

Check out the Caribbean specific forum.
You can also goto "Portals" in between the "Forums" and "Guides" to help you find comrades( or shall i say amigos)  from Cuba that have created threads.

The US embassy in Havana is closed since last September 2017.

This is an ongoing process and I trying to get information from people in the same situation we are however I think no one has gotten an interview for visa outside Cuba since the embassy was closed. 🙁🙁😢😢

As far as getting the Colombian visa, the process has changed a little.  They require 6 months of statements with a min of 2k.  They also process the visa based on your first appointment (medical or fingerprints) since the interview is the last step.

Hello

To get a Visa in the Colombia consulate in Cuba you will need to have the ( interview letter from the US embassy) with this letter which justified why you are requesting a visa to travel to Colombia and other documents you are ready to request it. Hope this can help.

Well if the visa is for someone else you do not need to go they can go and the process may take 3 to 4 days to be completed since they have to go twice to a bank to pay fees requested by Colombia's consulate for this visa process. My sister told me that people start to get in a line in the morning around  4:00 am to get in. This consulate does not work like the US embassy, the person who needs the visa has to go there personally and wait on line until he/she can speak to a staff from the consulate that assist them for the visa request. Good Luck :jest:
