statistics on approvals K-1 vs CR-1

HI all!

Does anyone have any official statistics on how many K-1 visas are approved yearly vs how many CR-1's are approved yearly?

the goal is to determine if a CR-1 will result in a higher chance of approval or not.

Currently a K-1 Visa will be 'easiest' for me and my fiancee as we are apart in our home countries and only engaged (not married).

A CR-1 would require an extra visit to contain a marriage before we can start the process... so would only be worth doing if it holds significantly higher chance of approval.

Irrelevant for the UK.

I know. You are showing a UK flag.

The UK is a low fraud country. K1 is easy to get approved if you have a straight forward case. (No red flags).  Right now the only thing that has changed from when we did it is that the time for approval of the 129f have lengthened.

A CR-1 would require an extra visit to contain a marriage before we can start the process... so would only be worth doing if it holds significantly higher chance of approval.

OP overall since the new administration, approvals of many visas (including K1 and spousal) have gone down. However, this has nothing to do with you, the UK itself, or what type of visa you choose. Stop thinking about it in terms of what has a greater chance of approval, because that's not how this works.

The reality is the UK is a low fraud country and so long as your case is uncomplicated and you complete your application correctly... and no mistakes are made on the government's end - your chances for either visa are equal and positive. It will just take a long time.

The best way to think about the question of if you should do a K1 or a CR-1, should be the following:

1) A K1 visa requires you to marry in the US, once granted. Afterwards you must file for AOS and wait a long period of time for the ability of the foreign spouse to be work authorized. This means you must have a good chunk of savings to support to non-working spouse.. and if that spouse feels annoyed by the fact they cannot work a while, then the K1 may not be for you.

2) A spousal visa requires marriage beforehand. If you decide to marry in the UK then you must comply with UK fiancé visa laws on their end first. That also takes time, money, and effort. If you marry in the US, then the foreign spouse must return home to the UK and then you file for the CR-1. This visa takes significantly longer than a K1 to obtain. So if waiting an even longer period of time apart is a concern, a spousal visa may not be for you. On the plus side, once obtained AOS does not have to filed for once reaching the US, and the foreign spouse will have a green card already - meaning they can work as soon as they can find a job without waiting.

@yuna628 gave excellent advice.

OP, you should focus on what visa works best for you and your situation instead of statistics, especially coming from the UK.

You don't need statistics.

Being from the UK, there's not a lot of denials for either version because they aren't going to scrutinize your relationship and think you are more worthy if married, which seems to be one of your concerns. (Your question in this thread about proving relationship http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/658300-what-is-needed-for-proof-of-a-good-relationshipmarriage-in-a-long-distance-relationship/  Did you read my reply there?)

If you are a drug user, convicted criminal or have contagious disease, then spouse or fiancé are both going to have some problems because you may not be deemed eligible to live in the US.
