So I have a friend who is constantly upset that he's illegal, i dont blame him. Hes lived here his whole life almost but just not legally. His parents never tried to get him legal or anything. He also told me he has like 3 birth certificates ( I didnt know that was possible) so I was wondering if there's any specific Programs he could look into or a VISA he could apply to at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Well, if he is living here in the country he would not get a visa, per se. What it seems like he wants to do is gain legal status but we would have to know his history. Three birth certificates? Has he ever claimed to be a US citizen? How did he enter the US?

I just asked him, no his parents are not legal. And his 3 birth certicates are all in Mexico. I'm pretty sure they are just different parts of Mexico? And also, he is 19 years old about to be 20 years old. And yeah he wants to gain legal status but he doesnt know how to and idk i just want to try and help him somehow.

He may have had an opportunity with DACA but that is over. Now that he is over 18 he is accruing time of unlawful stay that can be used against him.

PS VISA is a credit card.
