Would this be an issue? After I got my green card, I was in USA for 5 months, then went back to country of origin for up to 8 months ish to finish family stuff and my own ties as my parents weren't able to.

I'll be going back to a confirmed college place, which I was accepted and confirmed before I even left the USA.

I maintained USA bank account, credit cards, health insurance, and have a confirmed college place for spring quarter.

Umm, will I have any issue?

Hey Susie, thanks for the answer. Does working as a private english tutor while I'm here count as real employment? Just like a side thing. Will this be an issue?

If you were paid, declare the income on your tax return. Doesn’t sound like there’ll be a tax implication.

Hi susie, would it be better to just say I wasn't working? I don't want them to assume I abandoned residency by working.

Do they want us to be more detailed about what ties I had to finish up? Or is being vague enough?

Thank you!

Thank you!

IF they ask you questions, answer honestly. You don’t need to volunteer anything, but don’t lie in response to a direct question.
