No family members at wedding

Hi,

ME and my fiancee were going to get married at a courthouse and have a small ceremony. None of our parents or family members will be there. Would USCIS find this suspicious than none attended our court room ceremony?  What would you tell the interviewer if they asked this question.

I was married the exact same way.  No family or friends, in a courthouse.

It wasn't even brought up during my AOS interview....actually, come to think of it, we weren't even asked anything about what type of ceremony we had or who was there.  The IO was only interested in seeing the marriage certificate itself.

I was married on December 12th. My friend married us (ordained minister), my sister was there....that was it.  As long as you are legally married...I don't think it matters.

We got married in Iceland as we needed a third country that recognized same sex marriage and didn't require one or both of us to be a citizen of that country.  Needless to say, getting anyone to attend our courthouse wedding there was a no go.  We were asked why the marriage was there, but other than that we got zero static on no wedding with family and friends.

Got married with only 2 friends as witnesses.  Not a problem.

His colleague married us (ordained minister) and his best friend was our photographer. Never even had an interview.

Married in Vegas with only a work colleague as witness at the commissioners office, so the cheapest least stereotypical Vegas way of getting married, I was asked why no family there but once I explained why they were fine with it.

My parents were carers for an elderly relative that could not be left and if they couldn’t come we decided it would be best that his mom didn’t either as we didn’t want my folks to feel left out. We weren’t  going to invite others if our parents weren’t coming so it was just us, we are going to do a party back home for an anniversary though either our 5 year or 10 year anniversary.
