Following my next trip to visit my fiancee in Manila, which will take place later this month and into February, we will be ready to submit our I-129F.

Since we do most of our communicating on WhatsApp, I have printed off excerpts of our instant messaging for the past few months.  This will add up to upwards of 200 pages.  Sounds like a lot, I know, but I want it to be clear that we communicate daily and often.  It's not really that big of a stack when presented neatly, but I'm wondering if I'm overdoing it.  Thoughts??

We also use WhatsApp to talk on the phone and to do video calls.  The best I can seem to do to show some of this activity is to print some screenshots of call history.  Has anyone else used WhatsApp who has addressed some of these issues?

Thanks!!

My wife is from the Philippines and 200 pages is excessive. I included tons of evidence and they literally looked at none of it.

I included Facebook and call logs and none were needed. A few pages that span the relationship should be just fine. Also, include pictures especially if you have some with the family and passport stamps to prove when you met and boarding passes.

Good luck!

You can do whatever you want, but this does seem excessive.  You need to remember that chat logs, photos etc., are secondary evidence.  Personally, I would just include a few of the logs and keep the rest to take with you to the interview, but it is up to you.

Good Luck!

200 pages is too much. Choose time periods and send snippets, to help demonstrate a continuing relationship.

For example, when I filed, instead of sending every single month's joint bank account statement, I chose one month and then sent that month for every year, going back five years.

Save the evidence for the visa interview.  No need to front load for the Phillipines

Quality is better than quantity. No need to front load 200 pages of whatsapp conversation. Just print out few pages is enough.

Ok, there seems to be a consensus!  Thanks, all.. I'll cut down on the number.  I had read one forum where someone going through the interview process at the Manila consulate was required to print every WhatsApp communication they had, amounting to several pounds of paper.  That sort of spooked me.

Follow-up question:  My fiancee and I met on-line last June.  I travelled there last September.  During that trip we got engaged.  I'm nervous that they will say we got engaged too quickly or that we haven't known each other long enough.  Both she and I are confident in our relationship, but someone looking at the timeline might not be so sure.  Do I need to worry about this?

You can have that evidence available for the interview but the USCIS isn't concerned about any number of pages of relationship evidence.  Don't clog your petition with that stuff
