'Fire and Fury' release causes frenzy at DC bookstores

A controversial new book about life inside President Trump's White House hit bookstores on Friday, creating a frenzy at brick-and-mortar retailers as well as in online sales.

Not only is Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" the No. 1 best seller on e-commerce site Amazon, in Washington, D.C., popular local bookstores sold out almost immediately.

Kramerbooks started telling copies at midnight on Friday, creating a party-like atmosphere even in freezing temperatures and a flurry of social media conversation. 

The bookstore reportedly had 75 copies available and sold out in two minutes, according to the owner Steve Salis.

Trump threatens to sue everyone. This Trump presidency so far is like slowly watching a horrible train wreck.

 Not me, I am auld skool books. Just Like Harry Potter, I am dressing as my favorite Trump character to go to the book store.  I will probably go as Spicy with a mobile podium.  I could go as Kelly Anne but I would need to shave my legs and that is too much work.

No interest in buying this. Just doesn't sound like it would read well. I'd rather just watch the media frenzy unfold. Can't wait to read what Trump says next about it

I find it funny that an article still feels the need to reference Amazon as an "e-commerce site", as if people wouldn't know if the article just read that it was the #1 bestseller on Amazon. Would they be confused and think it was the number 1 best seller in THE Amazon?

I find it funny that an article still needs to reference Amazon as an "e-commerce site", as if people wouldn't know if the article just read that it was the #1 bestseller on Amazon. Would they be confused and think it was the number 1 best seller in THE Amazon?

I do like a good Sudoku...

 

I just mean that I don't usually read political/current events non-fiction (or I guess some would argue this book is fiction, either way). Not my cup of tea. I'll just read the reports on what it says, and then the responses. I'd rather read fiction or historical non-fiction.

I understand completely, it is a S**tShow.  But what else would it be with the Trump Presidency?    Do you think a Reality show star is going to go out on tax evasion or some failure to file as a foreign agent?  My theory is: they are just copying house of cards as they go along.

If we're doing Trump cosplay, I'm going as Sessions. I'm short and kind of cute, which hides the reality that I am really an SOB.
