The thread was never really about food stamps. He posted a link to an article about food stamps, but then subsequently posted links to other articles about other topics. I think it was more generally about the economic gains in the last year or so.

The thread as was explained was abut economic gains under my man Trump.  One of our more erratic ditch riders turned it into poll numbers early in the thread

The thread was about food stamps, but you tossed a lot of unrelated non food stamp articles in, instead of talking about food stamps. See? All over the place.. but it's understandable, it's very icy out there!

For the record, it was Bill who drove into the Poll ditch.  A Major upgrade I might add to your thread.

Sure thing. I just wish the topic was more cohesive with the actual subject matter.

Lower your standards and you'll be more pleasantly surprised.

Also - As the true middle of the road and the champion of transparency -

Let the record be amended to show that it was actually JimandChristy who first deviated to approval ratings, away from "economic successes" or whatever vague topic was present before. That was then followed by Bill asking a question which perpetuated the off topic deviation.

While I appreciate you thinking enough of me to refer to me as a brick wall (that WAS a compliment, right?), tell us... have YOU ever been polled about the presidency?  Or anything else?

That doesn't matter. None of us could have been polled and the poll can still be randomised.

A random sample of 3,000 people out of 320 million. Do the math.

You sure do a good job of anwering other’s posts for them.  Must come with the territory, I reckon.

But I say it DOES matter.  If you know of NO ONE in your circle of friends and family, that extends to their friends and family, who is getting polled, and no one else here does either, it begs the question of who IS actually getting polled?  Never mind the questions themselves being rigged in one direction or another...

Makes me think they are either calling no one and it’s made up, or they are calling the same numbers over and over (because they answer?), which severely brings the randomization into question.

All I can do is just repeat myself...

3,000 in 350 million.

We could know 20,000 people and it still could be randomised.

Here's more -

3,000 in 350 million is 1 person for every 118,000.

If there are 20 people here who post regularly we would each need to bring 5,833 people whom we know for certain hasn't been polled.

Do you know 5,000 people? I certainly don't. I probably couldn't name 100 that I know who haven't been polled.

Go find another 117,900 people then get back to me.

Perhaps you can do a poll? ;)
