No. Not even close. It is the same justice dept. that wants to enforce existing laws.

Oh okay, that seems rather convenient.
I can recall another Federal investigation in progress.
I wonder if there are any connections?

Why did you see a need to hijack this thread?

Not a hijack, it is the same Justice department under Sessions that is so out of step with where the priorities of the American people are.

I think enforcing laws is in step with the priorities of the American people as evidenced by the election of our current President....he won...Clinton lost...get over it.

The Justice department works for the American people and is not a political functionary of the White House. Most Americans are ready to move on from Clinton, it seems that the President and his fans cannot.

Most Americans moved on a long time ago, MDL seems to be having issues.

The president attacked his own Justice department 17 times in tweets last week and brings up Hillary daily...not sure where you see this MDL obsession at.

Trump is only President due to the MDL.

So which is it? Is it Trump's justice department or the people's justice department? Can't have it both ways.

Its pretty clear that Trump/Sessions are going out of their way to defame a non-existent political opponent.
Probably in response to Sessions recusing himself from the Russia investigation and the fact that Trump cant fire Mueller without getting hit with obstruction of justice.

"Priorities of the people"

60% of Americans approve of the legalization of Marijuana, yet Session wants to start another chapter on "The War Against Drugs".
"This war disproportionately targets blacks and other minorities and the poor across all racial demographics. "-Forbes
https://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2011/06/28/the-war-on-drugs-is-a-war-on-minorities-and-the-poor/#29c19ba2624c

"The Justice Department has filed court papers arguing that a major federal civil rights law does not protect employees from discrimination based on sexual orientation "- New York Time
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/27/nyregion/justice-department-gays-workplace.html

Its really sounds like you are trying to tell me to get over the fact that Trump is trying to roll back civil rights using the DOJ.
