Did you know, there is no time limit in which to file for AOS.  It is encourgaed to file ASAP - but no specific time limit.

I called USCIS to ask this question - the person I spoke with at USCIS had to go get an answer.  I found that interesting.  I thought it would be a common question.  Only K1 time restriction is to marry within the 90-days of entry.

 

name change:

we are altering name now - began with SS number.

All official government ID's and AOS documentation are getting the new name.

Thanks for sharing the info!  I was worried that we had to apply within the 90 day window. We submitted our AOS yesterday. Right on the 90 day mark lol. Also got the SS card yesterday...finally. So we got John added to the lease and the bank accounts! Finally feeling real!

Hey guys I haven’t been on in a long time, wondering if there’s a new forum for those who are past point of entry and have filed for green card / adjustment of status ..... I got an RFE for needing Brazilian birth certificate translated and I need to get some info on how to get this done, message me or reply please ! And thank you
