I called both USCIS and the NVC back to back and asked to speak with tier 1 reps as they seem to be privy to more information than the regular reps. I was told initially, by NVC, that even though my NAO@ says that I have been approved from January 19th my file has not reached them as yet and they still have no record of me even filing. When I called the USCIS they told me I wasn't approved!!! Got it escalated to Tier 1 who told me that me that they are conducting further administrative checks and it won't be done until another few days or weeks.

 

Called the NVC today and they are in receipt of our file but I wont be given a visa number until "another 6-8 weeks"

At least it some type of progress.

 

What do I do next ?

 

After I got confirmation that my package finally got to the NVC and informed that it would take up to 4 weeks to be processed. I called them 3 days after they received it and was able to get the visa and invoice numbers. Going to the complete the ceac for the Kingston embassy information

Hello. I got my NOA 2 end of February. I just got my case number from NVC on March 19. The next day, 20, I got those 2 emails from nvc, one saying that my case was in transit and the other saying that it was expedited processing at the consulate in Rio. Since it changed to ready on the same day I tried to schedule the interview but it wouldn't go. It said 'case not ready for appointment'. I read in this thread you guys from Brazil ran into the same problem at first. I already emailed the consulate. I shouldn't be anxious at this point, it was only 2 days ago that they sent my case to the consulate, but I'm praying to be able to schedule the interview before the end of next month. I read that some of you from Brazil also emailed the consulate. Did all of you get the email from them with the instructions?

We're still waiting for the email that the VISA is ready for pickup....

It was issued on March 14.....

System says to give it 10 business days....

Have you received an email that yours is ready for pickup?

No, we haven’t gotten that email yet either. Out was “issued” on the 20th. It’s really frustrating because he selected to pick up his visa from the ASC office in Rio, which theoretically shouldn’t take any time, unless they just haven’t even sent them out yet.

Yes, it's frustrating.....

We are picking up in Sao Paulo.

 

I think it will take this whole processing time....for us.....maybe in a couple of days we will receive it.

 

Ana told me yesterday, someone from another group who interviewed on Feb 27.....just received their pick up email yesterday.

 

I'm feeling better since you have not received it either....

I will let you know when I hear something.....thanks....
