Montreal, please send me my packet 3 soooon 😩

My status changed to "ready" yesterday. Do I still need to wait to hear from the consulate before submitting DS-160 or booking interview?

Anyone processing at Montreal know?

Did you book your interview online before receiving correspondence from the Consulate?

I think we are ok too, if they require an amount and we are over the amount so it should be fine. But just checking, in case anyone went with just that and they have them a hard time. We don't really wanna ask his parents, so... But let us know how was the interview in the embassy, in everything i read Rio is a very easy embassy, with very low history of denials and the interview is very quick. We'll all be fine 😊

when are you guys scheduled for the interview ?  Jorge booked 3/27 at 8:30 am I think

I've been in Brasil for a week and we leave for Rio in the morning by bus.

Exams begin on Thursday and  medical on Friday.  Interview is Tuesday.

It hasn't stopped raining in Brasil and won't for the next 7 days.  Rio will be hot, humid and wet.

Be aware of what is going on in Rio now with the military securing the favelas.

How you travel within Rio should be a concern....especially at night.

Be safe and good luck to all of us.

do you need to take a ton of passport photos to the doctor's appointment?  we haven't gotten our email yet with info... what all does the doctor require

yes theres quite a lot going on in Rio right now.  may the Lord's protection be with everyone in the city.

Just wait for the doctor's e-mail....they are slow, but they will eventually get back with you.

And yes, you do need a lot of pictures. If I recall correctly it's 10 3x4 cm pictures (NOT passport size)

I'm not scheduled yet, I'm a bit ahead of my game 😁 trying to find a way to distract myself in this waiting, so I can organize the next month and all documents.

I clicked yes and I haven't received anything from my embassy yet, I did read the pamphlet when I looked up packet 3 for my embassy though. You can Google it and download a pdf if you want to read it.

Did you submit Packet 3 @Justmel ?

@DeepakChani I haven't received it yet :(

I would submit it as is. I have read on this site how many do not even get packet 3.  No harm done in sending it in and if they dont accept it, atleast you can say I never received one.

As written here: "Waiting for P3 to physically arrive can be a fruitless task. Many people never get it, sometimes only the petitioner gets it, sometimes it shows up months later. If you want to expedite the process, don’t wait for it"
