Need help!

Fiance needs to go back to medical day #2 and they gave her stuff to get.  One I have no clue what it is they're asking for......

Shipping and delivery address confirmation (applicant scheduled by NVC).

What is that?

This is related to medical?

From that wording I would guess they want proof of residence (phone bill, rental agreement, other type of contract) - but why would they want that with the medical? Have not heard about that before. You might want to message some fellow Filipino filers who've already done medical to go over the requirements.

I've had to reconfirm my address in the interview scheduling system, so that they can send me my passport back after the interview.

Hi all,

I had started quoting posts to reply to, but upon going to the next page they were gone, so here a couple of answers:

Re getting case number: Once you have NOA2, you can start calling NVC roughly 1,5 week later to obtain your case number (if it's generated by then - could be longer). With your case number you can track your case here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

This might just be for your ease of mind and to start preparing.

We all should (have) receive(d) an email from NVC as well once they've sent the case to the embassy/consulate. That email will also contain the case number. So if you don't want to call, you can also wait for that email.

Re case time at NVC: cases are usually at NVC for roughly 2 weeks.

Re what to do after NOA2 and getting your case number: Please check posts from your fellow country filers and check the VJ country profiles. Process and requirements differ per embassy. Some of the things I have to do are not required for others.

Re time from "in Transit" to "Ready": was a couple hours for me. Had I not checked the status in my morning, I would have missed the "In Transit" status. Amsterdam cases are electronic.

Re cases being electronic or not: I believe that not all embassies work with electronic cases yet. As @vocaledge has explained in the June thread before, even for embassies that do work with electronic cases - hard copies are also still sent (which explains the stories from previous filers about the consular officer having their original I129F pack in hand). Those who's embassies work with electronic cases are lucky, because it (should) speed(s) up the process by a couple days.

Re I134: My fiance is also not able to obtain a letter of when he opened his account. What's most important is that you supply as much as you can, including the documents that your embassy requires. They care about the USC showing that he/she can support the beneficiary. For example: I know from a fellow Dutch filer before us that his tax returns were very low for the years before due to being a student. He included his latest tax return (good), letter of employment, signed letter to explain the situation, Uni diploma etc. His fiance was approved at interview.

It's on a case by case basis in the end.

Re time between medical and interview: it appears to be embassy specific. Apparently for the UK it's 5 days minimum (?). For The Netherlands it's a minimum of 10 days.
