Hey guys!  I know I just joined in here but called NVC today and they got my case number assigned on Tuesday!  Lol!  The day I found out we're approved by letter is the day I got a case number assigned!  Guess the week and half delay saved me some stress, lol.  Hope everyone else gets soon!

I heard that they were having some technical issues at NVC but I think they resolved it. I just called about an hour ago and received my case #! 

 

NVC assigned my case # the same day they recieved it! They have been SUPER quick lately!!

 

Does anyone know if there is a NVC app like there is for USCIS?

I think the time we save getting our case sent electronicly and not have to wait for snail mail is made up for by having to wait for our case to be scanned.

Thank you...I hope you case progresses soon as well. It will come...the waiting is horrible but after that first approval everything goes very fast.... At least it did for us...

Hey guys! My fiancé just called NVC, it was our first time calling as we  only received NOA2 2 weeks ago. We thought maybe our case would have arrived at the NVC but when we called them we actually found out that we already have our case number assigned!!! woohoo!! didn't expect it already! However, I just went on to the CEAC website to track it and it said the case number is invalid.....so we called back and confirmed our case number but it was correct. Typed it in agin to CEAC and it was still invalid...any ideas why this could be?

Still awaiting NVC Case #

 

Called the NVC last week.  They said that they rec'd it electronically on the 29.01.18 and to give them 2 weeks for a case number to be assigned.

Called again on Tuesday night 06/02 and their system was down.

Called again Wednesday night 07/02 and must have been just outside of working hours (I'm calling from Australia and thought I might have called a little too late)

Called again just now (Thursday night 08/02) and have been advised that the system is still down and they can't check the status.  He said that they've been told they are working on the issue and should have it up and running tomorrow so will call again then.

Already started my DS160 and it's complete apart from the photos which I will get done this weekend.  My fiancé is printing and signing the I-134 to post to me tomorrow/early next week and then will scan all the supporting documentation and email to me as he gathers it.  Thought it best to atleast get the original I-134 to me asap as the other stuff doesn't need to be original.

 

Have all my vaccinations done except for my second round of varicella and my last shots for the Hep A/B which I will be getting next month.  Thought it would be easier to get them all done here in Aus then try and do them over in the US before applying for the adjustment of status.

 

We are hoping for an April POE so if NVC can come through with the goods tomorrow/early next week, i'm remaining positive!

We're in the same situation (except NOA2 date of 1/19). Also, to clarify, on Wednesday, they were closed due to severe winter weather in that area, so no matter what time you had called you wouldn't gotten a hold of them 

 

That's funny, when I called today (twice) they didn't mention their system being down. I wish they would have told me, I thought it was up and running and they were just dragging their feet with getting our case number.. 

 

Anyways, here's to hoping we (and all of us in this situation) get a case number soon!
