FYI....Brasil.

Can't do anything, even with Case Number....we tried tonight to see what we could do.

Can't register or pay fee.

You can only access, complete and save DS-160.

Must wait for embassy letter or embassy "READY" status to register and schedule.

I just got off the phone with nvc and was told our case was being entered electronicly but she was having problems with the new system so she couldn't see if we have a case number yet.

Noa1 July 10

Noa2 January 18

NVC received January 31

When she said "I don't know if you're aware but your case" I had a mini panic attack.

I called yesterday too and I was told the same thing. The guy said we updated the system and it's having some issues but he was able to see the date our case was received at NVC (which I knew was 1st Feb.) and that the case is being processed at this time. I will call again today.

How do you guys assemble the Packet 3? Do you put a table of content? Duplicate of everything?

I did have a cover letter and copies of everything. They want the copies cause that's what they'll keep. You'll get your originals back.

It took me a week exactly to receive my case # after NVC received it, here's hoping you get it today.

My packet 3 came in the mail today!

I was unimpressed by the size of it!  It's an A5 envelop with 4 sheets of paper folded over.

I guess because it's such an important thing, I had expected it to be bigger, or at least in a big envelop!

Either way, time to get busy! :D

I'm just going to make copies of everything, but my checklist states that 2 copies are required of Court and Prison records (if applicable),  and then originals of birth and police certificate.

As @ToTheMoonAndBack and back wrote, I'll for sure include the copies of my birth and police certificates as I want the originals back.
