Hey please I need help or advice on my status, I came to u.s with students visa in 2014 but I fell in love with my wife in which we married but have not filled for my adjustment of status and now my f-1 visa has been terminated because I did not register for 12 credit hours and I have a warrant for a driving ticket that I did not pay for, please how should I go about this please do I need a lawyer or I should just fill

The first thing you need to deal with is the warrant for your arrest.  

The immigration/foreign student office at your school can assist you with advice over the F-1 termination.

When are you planning on applying for the AOS?

If you fell out-of-status on F1 and have no backup non-immigrant visa you can try to obtain a new I-20 and re-enter the country. This way you can get back in status. 

With the warrant you really need to talk to a local criminal attorney who is familiar with immigration law. Depending on the State you're in, it can be as simple as paying the overdue ticket. Normally surrounding yourself to the local arresting agency and then promising to pay is the way to go. (Arrest warrant itself is not a crime and does not create a criminal record.) With your out-of-status situation and in the current political climate you should be prepared for a possible removal proceedings and arrest by ICE, again, depending on the State you're in. Only a criminal attorney with local knowledge can tell you what your options are. Again, make sure you explain your immigration concerns to the criminal attorney. In any case, you need to fully cooperate with the authorities and if necessary surround yourself to the local police department (or Sheriff). You can do the latter upon returning to the US with the new I-20 (you will be arrested at PoA).

 

If it was just a traffic ticket you'll be fine. I hope it's not a DUI.
