Hello Everyone, I was hoping I could get some insite into my situation. I have been married twice before. My first marriage was to a Tunisian man I met in New York City. We divorced after 4 years and I believe he in the end married me solely for green card which was one of the most difficult things I have ever endured. My second husband I met on vacation in Italy .  He is Moroccan and I brought him here on a K1 Visa. We were married for 8 years and divorced because I got tired of his alcohol dependency.  After two years of being divorced I now have met my fiancé who is truely the love of my life. Will

these other marriages cause me problems in bringing my fiancé here either on a K1 visa or on a Spousal Visa. Please I would like your feedback on this. Thank you so much.

Certainly a few negative points, are you both of the same religion, is he older?

It will be an issue. The US government is well aware your first husband adjusted status with you and your second husband came here on a K1 and adjusted status. Is your future husband from a MENA country? You  (and your future husband/husband) will be under intense scrutiny (especially if there is any age difference). You will need to have evidence of a rock solid relationship (a lot of time together....months....years...) Have you considered moving to his country?

It will certainly cause some extra scrutiny.

What are your other red flags?:

-age difference?

-different religion?

-what country is the new fiance from?

-has the new fiance ever been petitioned for before by another USC?

-how many times have you met the new fiance in person?  How long were the visits?

We met in October.  Going back in April.. thought about getting married then but maybe it’s too soon. I am older by 10 years. I have considered moving there yes.. but it’s my choice to want to bring him here.. as I love the United States but would be willing to live in Morocco.. yes

my first husband and I divorced in 2003.. 15 years ago.. this is so unfair

Well that seems quite usual.

How many times have you visited, how long in total.

You have some serious red flags for this consulate in Casablanca but the age difference is not so much as a red flag but the previous marriages to men from the same region or country is where the problem will be...you should spend more time in Morocco with him before thinking of filing a k1 or cr1...it maybe too soon so just visit as much as possible to establish a stable relationship because Casablanca is tough

Hello friend. :)

No matter what route you take to bring your partner here (K1 or CR1), he will be questioned about your previous relationships at his interview. I would expect a few focused questions on your previous marriage to a Moroccan, and all of the circumstances regarding that relationship. My advice would be to include a lot of details about the circumstances of your previous relationships and divorce in your petition, and then make sure that your partner also knows every bit of detail that you included, as he could be asked anything about it. The Casablanca consulate is known for being quite invasive when it comes to asking detailed questions about the petitioner's past relationships.

Overall I would also recommend getting married in Morocco and going to CR1 route over the K1 route.

Totally agree

you have already met so marrying now is not like the people who do it on the 1st meeting

there are clear guidelines online for marriage in Morocco

for immigration we (those going thru casa embassy) need to provide originals of everything / other countries can send copies

if you do send copies to USCIS,  when case gets to NVC they will want originals as they did for me

Morocco kept my original birth certificate when i married there so get yourself a couple of originals for your own records

If you do go to marry,  take the I 130 application with you and fill it our with him as there is one section that requires his name and address written in his native language

Get the marriage certificate, his birth certificate and all copy of his passport (all pages even blank) and have them translated into English while you are there / this saves a lot of mailing back and forth (expensive Chrono post is the best but $35 to get it here in good time frame)

the age difference is not much / i  am much older than my husband and now married 8 years

Good luck as the issues will be the divorces
