Yeah I think her parents had to write something up and sign it to show that the girl had parental support.

Just wondering, have you been to semi-rural parts of the US before? I can't imagine moving from Singapore to a small city in AL. Each to his/her own, but love does NOT conquer all IMO.

Not at all! I think my fiancé said they looked it up and only found less than 20 Swedes that applied for this visa for all of 2017 lol. I will check out that thread - I haven't come across it before! Thank you

Alabama (where post says ) is 16 to 17 with parental consent but by time she comes she will be 18

TN is 14 (stupid i know) / i was 20 and 2nd year of college and i think that was too young

Most of us would say she is too young to marry but many countries/cultures expect the girl to be married before 20

your finance and you need to talk about future plans / will you study here? work? or be a housewife?

i say this as he is truck driver and you can be very lonely in a strange country when he is away /make sure his family is supportive as you are going to need help to adjust

there was a recent post on here of a girl who wanted to go back home as she was very homesick
