I130 F3 - Married daughter w/o children then and with children now

Hi everyone,

 

My mother is a US citizen and she will fill a petition (i130 f3) for me and my husband. I know this process takes several years (10-12 years or even more)...

 

My question is what will happen if I have children while we are waiting our i130 approval... Will my USC mother have to fill another petition? Will the process start over again?

no, at the nvc stage, you can add all the children you have, the wait is from 13 to 14 years

 

if you aren't Mexican or from the Philippines

I am married with 2 kids from south africa. My mom is busy filling I130 in Texas. Does anybody know what the waiting period is.

No, it’s longer, around 12 years at present, and getting longer. When we had F3 filed for us back in 2008 we had at that stage expected the petition to be current around now (wait time at that stage was 10 years), but they’re only on August 2006 at present.

around 13 years, maybe more, your children will come with you depending on their ages
