Little bit about my story. I filed the k-1 visa in the end of September of 2017 and I got it back since I forgot to sign one of the pages, so I signed it and on October 6, it says they got my case. How long is the process currently taking? I am just hoping to get my fiance here before july of 2018 Does anyone think its possible?? I am very stressed. I called my lawyer today and he told me as of November 1st they are started to process filers of June. I am confused, could anyone help me out. Thanks!

Right now the time is going really slow, the average time for NOA2 is between 6 to 8 months that plus time to NVC and interview maybe few weeks more. We have our recived date at august and my first time line said beggin january, but now the time line has changed to between february 15 to 28, that  sounds bad but we dont have other option more wait and be  patient .

The one tip is you dont do plans or deposits for any until you have your visa, because the times changes all time.

Regards and good luck in your process

Regards all   :)

Hello, I filled in July 2017 and have only gotten my NOA1 I'm still waiting for my NOA2 up till now .According to this site I'm not looking  to hear from them til the end of this month through February 1st. The process is taking the whole 6mths well at least for my case .However, I'm praying it will come sooner.

With slow times right now, plus as previously mentioned then NVC stage and also having to complete the medical, schedule interview(or wait for them to schedule it depending on how the embassy there works), you may manage late July but I wouldn't plan for it honestly. As always, never plan(especially spend any money) on anything major because you never know if some unexpected delays may occur.

Oh wait you are an October filer - there may be a thread started.  Like most of us we are all waiting to see when USCIS is going to move them files.  Our time is in their hands, no need to think too much about it, just hold on tightly and know that your number will be called.  Should you go past your filing date then thats when you can start calling them and asking about expediting the file.

You asked this question the other day and I gave you an honest answer...that your timeline is unlikely to happen. These people gave you the same answer.

Not liking our answers is fine, but repeatedly asking the same question isn't going to get you different answers, sorry

The approval times are like an elastic band.  It stretches and contracts all the time.  It is nearly impossible to predict with any accuracy other than using several month ranges.  The USCIS will redeploy resources all the time based on the work load, and this has a significant effect on any petitions adjudication.  I have seen approvals times go from 4 months to 10 -12 months and everything in between over the last few years

YMMV

You're going to see those dates change multiple times.

I filed July 5. We saw our estimated timeline date start in September. It has gradually moved from September to January over the last 6 months. It has always moved back - never forward.

There are people in April and May who have not had their NOA2. There are also people who have not received their NVC information.

There is a lot of information in these threads about what people are experiencing. My genuine advice to you is to not make ANY plans in advance. Nothing is static right now except for the extremely long waiting times we are all facing.

It takes as long as it takes. Stressing about it won't make it go faster. July 2018 may or may not be possible, no one knows. Last year, when average processing times were still a bit shorter, the whole process from filing to landing in the US took us a year. And I am from a low fraud country. We just had bad luck, several times (mail got lost, my husband had to request a new birth certificate which took months, etc).

I know it's hard, but try not to stress about it. Stressing will only make it harder.

I'm a May filer.  At 223 days now and still not gotten a NOA2 yet.  I've contacted congressman and senator and filed request myself now they show on June but still nothing happening for me.  Some May already are here and married now, so it's all dependant.

Unfortunately, no one is ever going to be able to give you a definite, airtight answer to this question. That would be great, but not realistic. I'm a June filer (6/8 NOA1), and we just received our NOA2 on December 1. The next step (NVC) is said to be slowing down now compared to in the past, and what used to take around 30 days is taking 40+ days. We're already past a month from receiving NOA2 and have heard nothing from NVC yet. Then you still have whatever else requirements you may have, such as medical, and of course the final interview, which I've heard occurs about a month or two out after being approved/denied. If you technically filed in October, then do the (estimated) math.

The best advice anyone can be given at this point is to not plan things this early in the process. I've heard stories of people already planning their wedding right off the bat, only for them to not make it because the process went past their original wedding date. Don't do that. Whatever your reasons are for aiming for July, that's none of our business, but it's beneficial to your emotions to realistically consider the strong possibility that may not happen. It might - but I would not put all your eggs in that one specific basket quite yet.

Håll ut, y'all.
