Did you and your spouse get tested for AIDS before marriage?

Before I got married, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Corporation Consular Affairs will permit the marriage upon condition of a blood test from the both of us.

how about, an HIV (and other STD) test before you have any hanky panky whatsoever?

Both of us had had STD tests since our last relationship before getting involved with each other, but not HIV.

He was here on a non-immigrant visa when we married so he didn't need a medical exam for that. He had a medical as part of AOS after we were married.

Neither one of us ever had an HIV test before getting married. I've never had one, my husband had to have one for his medical to get his green card.

I voted YES. My husband has an annual medical and the test is included....I had to have a test done thro the USAF also before he got his signed approval to go ahead and marry me.

He was tested with his medical. I'm a nurse and we have to get mandatory checks yearly so yep, we were both tested.

We both got tested for STDs and he gets tested for HIV regularly since he is a blood donor. I had an HIV test a few years ago.

Well, I'm sure that was part of Suj's medical exam before the visa interview. But I didn't get any testing done on myself.

I had an HIV test before I flew over to meet my (then) fiance. He'd had one a few months before and I thought it would be the sensible thing to do, the right thing to do, before we met up.

I was also aware that they tested for HIV at the medical (for K-1s) and I didn't want any nasty surprises. I personally thought it would be better to find out then rather than later on and be knocked for six. Luckily, I was clear...

Someone mentioned blood donations...I completely forgot that they screened those for HIV. Durrrrrr, Friday brain! So I suppose in a way, yes...I have had HIV tests, though I've never gone specifically for one.
