Mine was saying Feb 2019. I don't think those estimated dates are accurate

This thread might put things in perspective where people have been waiting over a year. Atleast your case is progressing according to normal parameters

Interesting... how do you know you are indeed stuck in background checking? Does your case online not say “Biometrics reciewed”? It shows “fingerprint appointment was scheduled” even after you did your fingerprints?

April 25, 2018 - Interview in Jacksonville, FL

May 24, 2018 - Oath Ceremony

Yes. It shows fp appointment was scheduled even though my wife and I both had our fp done the same day 10 mins apart. Her interview has been scheduled on April 10 and my status is stuck on fp appointment. My wife's case status updated within 1 hour after her fp was taken to Biometrics received but mine has been stuck to fp appointment scheduled

I'm giving it some more time. We did early filing, our 5 year GC anniversary is April 1 and we had our fp done on Jan 19. I seem to recall that it was good to wait 90 days but am not sure about it. Open to suggestions but trying to be patient as there might be a long wait ahead

Hi, I was just going over the thread and saw your post and thought I might be able to help. Although I have not went through the naturalization process yet but as far as I know they pick 10 out of the 100 questions and you have to get 6 of them correct. There is also a reading portion where they give you 3 sentences and you have to be able to read 1 of them correctly; same goes for writing.

Congratulations! Yes, I would say the 3rd anniversary of your GC is VERY relevant, they can't approve you before that date, can they, as you don't fit the requirement.   I think this 3 year rule through marriage is very significant, 5 years if not applying through marriage. A few variables though, 1. Security checks, (probably dependent on a popular name and also country of origin) 2. Field office back logs.(This is one main reason why people don't always get quick interviews)  3. Whether you file online or via paper (another main reason of not getting a quicker interview), 4. If you have the required 3 years on your conditional GC (through marriage) or 5 years without being married to a US citizen.

Removal of Conditions..  TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

GC  Conditional date:  05/26/2015

N400.  Application:      02/28/2018

Biometrics:                    02/22/2018

Waiting............    Roll my eyes again :(

USA citizen as of 25th of July 2018. :)

Shell,

Thanks for that insight. Does that mean I dont need to hold my breath until June at the earliest since thats when my GC expires? Thank you. Happy Easter🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
