Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: India
Timeline

I have noticed after checking multiple times that the estimated wait keeps jumping up a month or two and then comes back to where it was to start with.

Not sure if the system is adjusting it automatically or if it is based on what the officers are entering on a weekly basis.

Mine has moved back down from May 2020 to February 2020. Which... I guess is an improvement?

Am I the only one or does anyone else log into the online account hoping there is a change that they might have not yet emailed me about?

Every single day! 😁 Since we are doing confessions... While I am happy for everyone here who is moving forward quickly, including those who filed with us and already had their oath, I get a little bit jealous ans frustrated. Even my friend who filed with me on the same date got her interview notice. I am only frustrated because of my mom. She lives alone in my home country, she is elderly, and I want to bring her here asap. So, this process not moving forward just angers me so much because I know on top of the waiting game we have with the citizenship, we have the 1+ year I-130 waiting game. I can’t move there to be with her because I have my husband and my life here. It all just breaks my heart to be so powerless with immigration. Sorry for the venting, I am sure many of you are going through the same situation.

I feel you. I want to bring my mother here so bad. And all this stuff going on in the immigration front puts me on edge.

sorry it's a bit late, just wanted to share my interview experience.

I had my interview in Philadelphia. I filed based on 5 year rule.

Everything went smoothly and everyone there was friendly and nice.

The only documents I was asked for were my green card, driver's license and passports. I did not upload any additional documentation in the online application (other than what was required).

Then we went over the info in my application and she put the updates in the system.

Then she asked me the civics questions, asked me to read one sentence and then write one sentence. These are short, basic English sentences.

Then she informed me that she will recommend me  for approval.

The next day, oath ceremony letter was upoaded in my account for March 30th.

Hope everything goes smooth and fast for everyone waiting!

Thank you! It comforts me to know we are not alone. I am glad the immigration changes failed. Now the conversarion sort of shifted to other subjects, such as guns. I don’t think they will be discussing it again soon.

What we can do is wait! It’s what we have to do. The good news is that everyday we are one step closer! Be strong! ❤️
