Congratulations! Exciting and nerve wrecking times combined for sure. I cannot wait for it to be all over, but at the same time excited to have come this far and I want to enjoy the final steps of this journey. :goofy:

Good luck getting all the papers, tax document, computer ready. You and your documents will be all prepared for your interview, I am very sure.

Thank you, yeah I pray the absence of my computer will not affect me to prepare all the docs..

It's been a extremely long wait since my Roc was filed Dec. 2016. Now have 2 critical things on the same date is good and nervous as well.

I think it was about a week. TBH I wasn't even focusing on the mailed letter once it was visible online. I got carried away with that. :D

I highly discourage against this especially in a field office in Texas where processing times are long, and cases can go into limbo. She's very close to being done, unless the trip is for something life-threatening, it's a much better idea to get the oath over with and she can pretty much do anything that she wants after that. Is she planning to travel for that entire 5 month? Before the oath, you're asked if you've had any travel since the interview, such a long travel unless for a good reason can further delay the oath even after rescheduled.

Thank U for suggestion

I wouldn't recommend for her to travel before she get her US citizenship certificate, unless there is a super urgent situation.

She already waited for more than a year to get her interview done, one or two months more is not gonna hurt, and then a week or so for the passport will be ok.

Think about it that way.

Thank u for suggestion

I see, that's why I haven't gotten it. My laptop is shipped to Costco repair service. I tried to find the notice via my cellphone, but don't know why the document tab is not even there.. That's why I'm waiting for the snail mail..

I checked my account today at the office, the interview date is sooner than I thought Oct.3. I'm sort of stressed because of collecting all the evidence for ROC

I read you managed to check the date online, but actually you can also see the documents on your phone, you just need to turn it horizontally (enable orientation if you locked it) and then the document tab appears. Just FYI for the future. You still have a month to go to get everything prepared, hope it will be enough to collect it all. (And I'm sure you will be ready with everything needed ;) )

I had my interview today with a pending ROC.  The interview letter never mentioned anything about ROC but I went with my hubby anyway. That was a good decision because when my number was called, the IO asked whether my spouse was around because he needed to be present for the interview. Interview lasted about 20 minutes for both N-400 and ROC.  For the ROC, he asked for documents that proved my spouse and I still live together.  I gave him bank statements, tax transcripts, and some utility bills which he made copies of.  Then he asked us how and when we met, when we started living together, our wedding date (which we had to tell him 3 different times cause he kept getting it "wrong") and then asked whether we owed any taxes.  He thought it was funny when I answered "not as far as I know" and that was it.  He then asked my spouse to leave the room so he could conduct the N-400 interview.  We went over the Yes/No questions, updated some information that has since changed then signed it.  Proceeded to the civics test which he said "correct" after every answer I gave.  I got all 6 questions right at which point he said since I got them all, that was all for that portion of the test so we'd proceed to the English test.  There was an oral test and a written test.  For the written section he just read out a sentence and asked me to write it down. He then told me he would be recommending me for approval and that my oath ceremony will be in 2 weeks if it wasn't already full which he didn't think it was and to be on the look-out for my oath letter in the mail within the next week.  My test was as follows:

Civics and History test:

1.  When was the declaration of independence adopted?

2.  Name one of the longest rivers in the U.S.

3.  What is the name of the speaker of the house of representatives?

4.  What do we call the first 10 amendments to the constitution?

5.  We elect a president for how many years?

6.  Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?

English oral test:

1.  Who was Abraham Lincoln?

English written test:

1. Lincoln was President during the Civil War.

Yeah, I hope I'll prepare sufficient evidence before the interview. If the officer is reasonable, it makes tremendous difference too.

Thank you for sharing, and congratulations to you.

So did you have to answer the question of the oral test? Or the answer was there, just have to read out and write it down?

You're welcome and thank you.  For the oral test, the piece of paper handed to me had a couple of sentences typed on it.   I think they were 5 questions and no answers.  I was asked to read the first one after that I handed him back the paper.  The written test, he read out the sentence and asked me to write it down.
