I have no pending ROC or anything. Applied based on the 5 year rule, got green card via diversity lottery almost 6 years ago.

Funny enough - yesterday after work, got 2 texts...did not expect anything to happen for a while as I have a colleague who applied here in Chicago in August 2017, and no interview for him yet, however I was notified that my interview got scheduled. I bet USCIS has a "robot reader", and checks this forum. I had that feeling before, but I'm getting more certain.. :D

Congrats! Interesting you and my friend are both Feb. 2018 filer, you got your interview scheduled. I'm wondering what happened to your colleague's case applied 5 months before you?

thank you, I still cannot believe it though.. My colleague is still waiting, he was saying for a long time he is not in a hurry, but it started to bother him, when he hit the one year mark.

He is travelling in September, so he is not getting an Infopass until he is back to the US. His case number starts different than mine too. I believe it is NBC or something like that.. I also read somewhere that people get interview scheduled faster if they have kids...not sure if it really matters...I have kids he doesn't.

My Mother Submit N-400 on 27 April 2017 From Dallas office. She Received interview Letter on 20th July 2018.She gave interview in August 2018. She want to wants to trip her home country. My Question is that Can we Extend Oath ceremony for up-to 5 months. Or give date to them when she is available for oath Ceremony. How many time we hold oath ceremony? I will be thankful who provide me information. Please also tell me how much take time receiving Oath ceremony letter after interview from Dallas?

I highly discourage against this especially in a field office in Texas where processing times are long, and cases can go into limbo. She's very close to being done, unless the trip is for something life-threatening, it's a much better idea to get the oath over with and she can pretty much do anything that she wants after that. Is she planning to travel for that entire 5 month? Before the oath, you're asked if you've had any travel since the interview, such a long travel unless for a good reason can further delay the oath even after rescheduled.

Lol, you may be right. I'm not believer in conspiracy theories, but some reason I've had that conspiracy theory in mind as well lol. After my biometrics and checking my status almost every day, I didn't hear back from USCIS for 6+ months. As soon as I discovered VisaJourney and made my first post (check my post history lol) inquiring about whether people had received interviews at my local field office, less than 2 weeks after that post, my status was updated to "Interview Scheduled". My process was very fast after this.

My NOA is 1/17/2018, I didn't hear anything back either. Early I thought it's because I have pending ROC, since my friend has it too, so I don't think pending ROC is the reason.

I guess it might depend on local office schedule, chic ago might process faster than Honolulu.

Yes, perhaps they hired a person just to read forums and connect forum-goers with cases. One thing for sure, if that's really the case, we will never find out. :D

One thing I learned that it's all unpredictable. When you least expect it a message will pop up saying your interview is scheduled, it could be next week or tomorrow or any minute. That's what happened to me last week...

I was almost a maniac reading everything and anything, trying to figure it all out, trying to predict when it's going to be my turn.

Right now I'm learning all civic questions, and I read somewhere that you can be asked to say (or to sing) the lines of the Star Spangled Banner.

Did anyone had to know the lines for the Star Spangled Banner on the interview? (I'm learning it, but the lining is not the easiest..):help:

You are very right, this morning I got email: We scheduled your interview.

I was pining earlier, but I kind of postpone my home visit plan from this Nov. to next year. So I have not been thinking about it for a few weeks.

Lately I also think since it's been a long wait, it doesn't hurt to wait little longer so I can pile up more evidence (my interview will be a combo as my I 751 is pending)  such as latest tax return in Nov.

Well, it just happened. I have to get ready for it, I hope I can collect tax return docs before we go to the interview. I'm stressed because my laptop is waiting to be shipped to Costco repair team to fix.

Meanwhile I do have to study the civic questions like you do, I haven't received the paper notice though I guess it could be around 45 days later.

My Naturalization ceremony is scheduled. I received confirmation of this on 8/29/2018. It is scheduled for 9/20/2018. I am almost to the end of my journey. Good luck to those who are still waiting for your interview and oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Congratulations! Exciting and nerve wrecking times combined for sure. I cannot wait for it to be all over, but at the same time excited to have come this far and I want to enjoy the final steps of this journey. :goofy:

Good luck getting all the papers, tax document, computer ready. You and your documents will be all prepared for your interview, I am very sure.

I wouldn't recommend for her to travel before she get her US citizenship certificate, unless there is a super urgent situation.

She already waited for more than a year to get her interview done, one or two months more is not gonna hurt, and then a week or so for the passport will be ok.

Think about it that way.

Hi fellow Visa Journey members. I wanted to find out if there are January 2018 Atlanta Field Office filers still awaiting an interview?

I am a 10 year GC holder, I applied on Jan 10 2018 for naturalization. FP done on Jan 30 2018.

Waiting ever since for interview. My online account states that we have reviewed your bio metrics and there is nothing for you to do for now. Unclear if this means I am in line for an interview or still stuck in background checks.
